Hate him or love him, Drake looks out for the young up n’ comers in the rap game. Unlike most established artists, he doesn’t feel the need to try to extinguish them as soon as they catch some buzz, but instead embraces the opportunity to work with some new talent. Whether it’s ASAP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Nipsey Hussle, etc. etc. Drake’s proven that he’s not falling into the whole “untouchable veteran” mindset by extending a gracious helping hand.

I’m guessing he knows it best since it’s only been about 2 years since he’s come into the spotlight himself. Props.
